Overview
The Vello BG-C10-2 battery grip is designed for the Canon 90D, 80D, and 70D DSLR cameras and provides a more ergonomic grip as well as extended shooting time. It accepts up to two Canon LP-E6 or LP-E6N(H) rechargeable batteries (not included) to effectively double your camera’s battery life. The BG-C10-2 is equipped with an alternate shutter release and main dial, as well as AF-ON and autofocus and autoexposure selection buttons, making the grip ideal for shooting portrait photography. These features make the battery grip ideal for camera operation when in portrait orientation and provide familiar control layout in your hand. The control-lock switch disables all the grip’s controls to prevent unwanted triggering. A convenient holder for the camera’s battery chamber cover provides storage and helps prevent loss when the cover is removed to install the battery grip. And on the bottom of the grip, you’ll find a 1/4-20 threaded socket, which retains the camera’s mounting ability on tripods.

Controls
Alternate buttons for shutter release, AF area/AF method, AF-ON, AE/FE lock, Index/reduce, AF-ON selection, magnify, as well as the main dial. This makes it comfortable to shoot in portrait orientation, so you won’t have to twist your arm to get the right shot.
1/4-20 Mounting Screw
The BG-C10-2 attaches to your camera’s tripod socket with a 1/4-20 mounting screw for a secure fit. A 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the grip means your camera retains its mounting ability.
Nonslip Grip
A nonslip rubber grip enables enhanced handling when shooting in portrait orientation, even with cold hands.
Control Lock
This switch deactivates the grip’s control buttons and dials, as well as the shutter release button, without deactivating the batteries installed in the BG-C10-2. It’s perfect for preventing accidental activation while shooting in landscape orientation or video, when you don’t need the buttons but you do need the extra power.
Camera Battery Chamber Cover Holder
A dedicated compartment for your camera’s battery chamber cover provides convenient storage and prevents loss when you’re shooting with the BG-C10-2.
Strap Mount
The BG-C10-2 is equipped with a built-in strap mount that makes it easy to attach a handgrip to protect against drops.
