Overview
The Vello BG-N19 battery grip is designed specifically for the Nikon D850 DSLR. It accepts a Nikon EN-EL15a rechargeable battery (not included), along with your camera’s battery, to effectively double the runtime. There is an included AA battery holder that accepts eight AA batteries in case you need to find a convenient power source. And this grip can use the EN-EL18b battery when paired with the BL-5 cover for higher power output up to 7 FPS. The grip provides an alternate shutter release, main and sub command dials, and function and AF-ON buttons, to help when shooting in portrait orientation. A multi selector offers similar camera control over features like choosing autofocus points or displaying image information. Attaching the grip to a tripod is easy with a 1/4-20 threaded socket on the bottom, which retains the camera’s mounting ability.

Accepts a Nikon EN-EL15a Rechargeable Battery
Double the runtime of your Nikon D850 DSLR. The Vello BG-N19 Battery Grip accepts a Nikon EN-EL15a rechargeable battery, so you can keep shooting after your camera's battery runs out of power. Great for long shoots and you won't have to change the battery as often.
Alternate Shutter Release Button
An alternate shutter release makes it comfortable to shoot in portrait orientation, so you won't have to twist your arm to get the right shot.
Two Dials
Two dials for main and sub command adjustments when your camera is in the vertical position. This allows control over your aperture and shutter speed with familiar finger placement.
Function Button
A function button makes available a camera setting right at your fingertip. Use your favorite feature and quickly access it during shooting.
AF-ON Button
The AF-ON button works as the one on your camera and makes it possible for back-button focusing. In addition, you can customize this button to other functions inside the camera's menu.
Multi-Selector
The multi-selector provides an easy way to reposition your focus point or focus zone, same as the camera. You also have the ability to scroll through pictures and display image information, or set the selector for alternative functionality through the camera's menu.
Control Lock
A control lock is conveniently positioned around the shutter release. You can quickly lock the grip's controls with a finger, and prevent accidentally pressing the alternate buttons while shooting in a landscape position
Additional Power Sources
An included AA battery holder takes eight AA batteries (rechargeable batteries are recommended). This makes it easy to have an alternate power source when you're out in the field. The grip accepts the Nikon BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover, which can be inserted into the grip and paired with the EN-EL18b rechargeable battery, for additional power and up to 7 FPS.
Nonslip Grip
A rubber nonslip grip enables enhanced handling when shooting in portrait orientation, even with cold hands.
1/4-20 Tripod Mount
The BG-N19 attaches to your camera's tripod socket with a 1/4-20 mounting screw for a secure fit. A 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the grip means your camera retains its mounting ability.
