Overview
The Angler 12 × 55-inch strip BoomBox is designed for monolights and flash heads with Bowens mounts. The lightweight and portable BoomBox is an indispensable accessory when you need to quickly set up a key or accent light in the field or in the studio. It opens just like an umbrella and eliminates time-consuming softbox setup with an integrated speed ring and flex rods, so you can spend more time shooting. Its rectangular form factor provides a beam that’s narrower than an octagonal softbox with a bright center with gradual falloff. You can put the strip BoomBox to work as a rim, accent, and hair light in a variety of lighting setups. It also can fit into a tight space where other modifiers won’t fit. The BoomBox features a reflective silver interior that amplifies the light and throws a punchy, specular beam that’s ideal when your exposure calls for sharp detail. The included diffuser eliminates hot spots, and creates a soft wraparound light that’s great for portraits and fashion. Optional rings are available for compatibility with Broncolor, Elinchrom, and Profoto lights.

Great for the studio and the field, the BoomBox folds up just as quickly as it sets up, and it comes with a convenient carry bag that you can take anywhere. It opens in seconds and maintains its rigidity while you attach it to a light stand or a monopod.
Support Rods
Don’t waste valuable minutes threading flex rods into your softbox. The integrated support rods are attached to the umbrella mechanism, so the BoomBox stays rigid when you open it and keeps its shape as long as it’s open.
Deflector Plate
The removable deflector plate gives the BoomBox’s light a beauty-dish quality. It creates a sensuous wraparound light that’s perfect for portraits and fashion photography. Since it sits directly in front of the flash, it also creates a uniform beam and eliminates the center hot spot that’s common with on-camera flashes.
Silver Interior
The reflective silver interior throws off a broad, punchy, and contrasting light that wraps around your subject and offers sharper detail than diffused light.
Included Diffuser
A diffuser is included for softer and less specular light with softer edges and shadows. It’s fast and easy to attach and softens the light for that flattering wraparound beam that’s great for portraits and head shots.
