Overview
The Elvid StudioVision 4K HDMI monitor with HDR support is a professional monitor that offers the ultimate in ultra high-definition cinematic displays for studio and location. SD, HD, and 4K video signals from a wide variety of sources can be connected using the available inputs. This monitor supports NTSC/PAL, HD, and 4K, and it’s designed with inputs for viewing 3G-SDI, HDMI, VGA, and DVI signals. Multiple signals can be displayed simultaneously using the monitor’s split screen function that provides left/right, top/bottom, and quad, and picture-in-picture splits. The large, 16:9 LED backlit display provides consistent viewing with sharp and detailed images, as well as rich colors due to the high 1000:1 contrast. Additionally, the first HDMI input features HDR10 support, which provides a picture with color accuracy, high contrast, and a dynamic range for a thoroughly realistic and dynamic image. The STV-280-4KHDR monitor puts a wealth of tools at your fingertips. Four assignable function buttons provide shortcuts to your most frequently used menus. The on-screen menu makes it easy to fine-tune your image, and an intuitive menu structure allows you to go deep into the many built-in features. The monitor runs on AC power or a V-mount battery. It comes enclosed in a travel case for protection during storage and transport. In the studio or A/V installations, the monitor can be mounted using VESA hardware or placed atop a desk with the included feet. It’s powered from an AC outlet, or it can run on a V-mount battery.

4K UHD Resolution
The STV-280-4KHDR boasts a native resolution of 3840 × 2160. With 4K Ultra High Definition, you’ll experience lifelike images with superb sharpness, detail, and clarity.
HDR Support
High-dynamic Range (HDR) support offers a wider range of colors, punchier details, more contrast, and defined highlights when you’re viewing HDR content. HRD10 support delivers a picture that’s incredibly realistic and eye catching.
10-Bit Display
The 10-bit IPS LCD display offers a huge color gamut of over a billion colors. And with thin-film transistor (TFT) technology, your monitor will deliver sharp images with intense and accurate color.
HDMI Input
The StudioVision STV-280-4KHDR is equipped with HDMI input for use as a wired high-definition video monitor, so you can connect it to your HD video camera or DSLR.
Pixel-to-Pixel Mode
Pixel-to-pixel mode is another feature the StudioVision STV-280-4KHDR offers for focusing accuracy. When activated, the monitor will display an incoming video signal in its native resolution with 1:1 pixel mapping, without any scaling or processing.
Broadcast-Specific Features
Broadcast-specific features include a center marker and an on-screen safety frame overlay that can be set to 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, or 96% of the screen size.
Check Field and Peaking Modes
The Check Field mode helps you accurately calibrate the monitor by displaying only red, green, or blue on-screen. When you need to fine-tune your picture, use the peaking filter to add an outline to any part of the image that’s in focus.
Freeze Input
The freeze input option allows you to freeze the current on-screen image to analyze your frame as a still picture.
Display-Specific Functions
The display menu offers a rotate option that allows you to adjust the picture depending on the orientation of your monitor. The display menu also gives you the option of left/right, top/bottom, 4-way, and picture-in-picture screen splits.
DE-15 Tally
The monitor’s DE-15 Tally connector is compatible with standard tally systems. Ideal for broadcast applications, when it’s in split-screen mode, the monitor puts a tally display border around the active signal.
Accessible Menus
A press of the menu button gives you instant access to all the menus. Navigating through the menu selections is just as simple, so you can change settings without interrupting your shoot.
Programmable Function Buttons
Four programmable function buttons on the front panel let you create shortcuts to the most frequently used menus. This lets you quickly access broadcast-specific functions as well as the features you need to fine-tune your image.
Audio Monitoring
Monitor your incoming audio signal from the built-in speakers or the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The monitor’s RCA audio inputs allow you to monitor the sound from your video source or from a different source, such as a mobile device or a stereo.
Included Sun Hood
The included sun hood quickly attaches to the touch-connect strips on the flight case to block out stray light and prevent glare. It’s indispensable when shooting outdoors or in other brightly lit environments.
