Overview
The Vello FreeWave Micro is a wireless remote shutter release that allows you to step away from the camera and shoot photos. It connects to cameras that have Nikon’s 10-pin connection, and offers the ability to focus and trigger your camera while minimizing potential camera shake. Status LEDs offer a visual display of current operations, and you can set up to 16 different channels for optimized performance. No need to hide behind your camera, take photos from up to 328 ft. away, and interact with your subject or capture candid shots.

Wireless Remote Trigger
Remotely trigger your camera without touching it, or tangling yourself with a mess of cables. The Vello FreeWave Micro minimizes vibrations when taking long-exposure, macro, or close-up shots where the slightest camera movement can cause blurry images. This remote allows you to step away from behind the lens and shoot with a wireless freedom and perspective. No cables necessary—just plug in to your Nikon camera’s 10-pin connector, and set the desired wireless channel.
Long-Range Signal
A 2.4 GHz radio signal allows you to place your camera up to 328 feet (100 m) away. This radio signal is robust and doesn’t require line of sight, as it passes through and around objects such as walls, windows, floors, and trees.
Status LEDs
The FreeWave Micro offers a series of LEDs to display your active operation. You’ll know that the transmitter and receiver have power, when your camera is focusing, and that the shutter is triggered.
Dual-Function Shutter Release
The shutter release button takes care of two camera operations. Press the release button halfway to focus the camera, and press fully to take a shot. This is just like your camera and couldn’t be easier.
Multiple Channels
Sixteen channels allow you to change your transmitter and receiver operating frequency to avoid radio interference from other wireless triggering systems. So if you’re shooting in an area around other photographers, you’ll be able to customize a wireless channel just for you.
Simple Power Option
Luckily for you, you only need one battery to power the FreeWave Micro. The transmitter uses one AAA battery for power, and the receiver is powered by the camera. This makes it simple to keep your gear juiced up and ready to use.
