Overview
The Polsen MO-IPL2 is a lavalier condenser microphone designed to accurately capture speech for podcasts, vlogs, videos, and interviews. It features an Apple MFi–certified Lightning connector for compatibility with iPhones and iPads. Its condenser mic boasts a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response that will capture the finer details and character of the voice. The microphone’s omnidirectional polar pattern ensures responsive sound pick-up from all directions while avoiding the bass boost caused by proximity effect. The MO-IPL2’s monitoring is disabled during recording applications, so once you record, attach headphones to the integrated 3.5mm stereo mini-jack to listen to the playback. No batteries or power supplies are required. Simply connect the MO-IPL2 to your compatible iOS device for immediate operation. An integrated 16-bit / 44.1 kHz analog-to-digital converter delivers enhanced fidelity and less noise when compared to your device's internal A/D converter. Affix the supplied windscreen to reduce wind noise, breath noise, and plosives. The 5.25' cable is insulated to inhibit radio-frequency interference and handling noise, yielding a clean audio output signal. Use the tie clip to attach the mic to your subject's clothing; lapels and collars are commonly used. For convenience in storage and transport, the MO-IPL2 comes with a carry pouch. Important! The MO-IPL2 is for recording applications only. It is not meant to replace wired or Bluetooth earphones with integrated microphones that are commonly used for phones calls, video chats, and FaceTime.

Analog–to–Digital Converter
Recording great audio to your iOS device doesn’t get much easier than this. You don’t need a separate A/D converter or adapter because the MO-IPL2 has its own in-line A/D converter. It converts analog signal to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz digital audio with more accurate sound and less noise than your iOS device’s internal converter.
No Batteries or Power Supply Needed
The MO-IPL2 operates on power supplied by your iPhone. No batteries or power supply are needed.
Insulated Cable
The cable is insulated to reject radio-frequency interference that can interrupt and compromise recordings, videos, and podcasts. Whether you’re indoors or out, the mic cable will reject whatever interference is in the area.
Low Handling Noise
When you’re recording someone who’s moving while they speak, or when the mic cable is hidden under a garment, low handling noise is a must. The insulated cable ensures you don’t hear the rumbling from handling noise while you’re recording.
Headphone Jack
With the MO-IPL2, you don’t have to unplug the microphone and plug in headphones to listen back your audio. The integrated 3.5 mm mini-plug jack lets you plug in your headphones and listen back to your recording without swapping devices.
Tie clip and foam windscreen
The included tie clip discreetly hides the microphone and provides hands-free simplicity for interviews, videos, and podcasts. The foam windscreen minimizes wind noise and vocal plosives (pops).
