Overview
Polsen’s PL-5-MKII omnidirectional lavalier microphone is optimized to accurately capture speech, and provide a clear and natural sound that’s ideal for video, live theater, and public speaking applications. It’s miniature 0.14-inch head diameter design provides a discreet solution where a hands-free microphone is needed, and it’s easily concealed on clothing or wardrobe without sacrificing sound quality. Its omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions and allows for natural head movement when shooting news and dialog, or addressing an audience. Thanks to the omnidirectional polar pattern, the PL-5 is less susceptible to wind noise and vocal plosives (pops) than directional microphones. The PL-5 with a 1/8 in. mini plug connection is a replacement mic for Polsen’s ULW-16 wireless system. It’s also compatible with other wireless transmitters with a standard 1/8 in. microphone input, or devices that have a 1/8 in. (3.5 mm) input with plug-in power.
Features
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The omnidirectional polar pattern is ideal for video applications because it offers flexible placement options, and it allows for head movement without affecting the sound. Your talent can move freely while you’re shooting dialog or recording news events, and it makes the microphone less susceptible to picking up wind noise and vocal plosives (pops).
Compact Size
The PL-5-MKII’s miniature 0.14 in. head diameter provides a variety of options for discreet microphone placement. It’s ideal for film and video production because it’s easy to conceal on clothing, props, or hair.
1/8 in. (3.5 mm) Mini Plug Connector
The PL-5-MKII with a 1/8 in. (3.5 mm) mini plug connector is a replacement microphone for the ULW-16 wireless system. It is also compatible with devices with 1/8 in. (3.5 mm) input with plug-in power.
Designed for speech
Optimized with a tailored frequency response to accurately capture speech, the PL-5-MKII provides a clear and natural sound that’s superior to built-in camera microphones. You’ll be able to step up your production value with presenters and narrators up-front and present in your mix.
