Overview
Chiaro’s newest line of premium, high-transmission polarizing filters combine advanced lens construction with state-of-the-art cold coating process to minimize glare and reflections while delivering vibrant colors and enhanced contrast. This premium filter is constructed with glass manufactured by Schott, the industry leader in optical glass. Superior TrueHue Premium optical film provides the best-in-class color accuracy, and the filter is enhanced with 24 layers of coating for protection against scratches, fingerprints, water, and dust. The filter’s rotating ring lets you precisely adjust the filter’s orientation, so you can easily find the best angle that minimizes reflections, glare, and haze for deeper colors like a bluer sky and greener grass. Brass ring construction reduces the likelihood of binding with the accessory threads and gives the filter a heftier and premium feel. Side and top knurling is easy to grasp and make fine adjustments regardless of the filter’s angle. The filter’s thin design will also avoid vignetting.
Features
Circular Polarizer Filter
Chiaro’s Premium Circular Polarizing filter screws onto most 112 mm lenses. It has a rotating ring that allows you to find the precise rotation angle for ideal orientation with the sun and the desired polarizing effect in your image.
Minimize Reflections, Glare, and Haze
Use this circular polarizing filter to minimize reflections when you’re shooting through a window or into a pool of water, and minimize the glare from water particles in the air that create haze in landscape photos. For outdoor photography, unwanted light reflection off of leaves, lawn, or pavement will be minimized with this filter and will give you deeper colors like a bluer sky and greener grass.
Schott B270 Optical Glass
Chiaro’s Premium Circular Polarizing filters are made with highly polished B270 glass by Schott, the industry leader in manufacturing optical glass. The filter is treated evenly on both sides with TrueHue Premium optical film and 24 layers of anti-scratch, dust, oil, and water coating for excellent transmittance and protection against the elements.
Brass Ring
For quick-on and easy-off operation, the Premium circular polarizing features a brass ring that won’t bind with your lens’s accessory threads. The brass ring also provides a heftier and premium feel that’s preferred by many photographers.
Side and Top Knurling
For easy handling and finding the precise angle that gives your image the most vivid and lifelike hue, the filter is made with top and side knurling. So no matter what angle you rotate it to, it’s always easy to grip and adjust.
