Genaray SSL-MINI Soft Strip Bi-Color LED

The SSL-MINI-B is a 17 in. strip light that provides even illumination along its entire length. Its cool operation lets you move it extremely close to your subjects, which is perfect for portraits and product photography. It also excels as an accent light to put an artistic glow on your background or your subject’s hair.

The SSL-MINI-B boasts a color temperature range from 3000 to 5600 K. You’ll be able to match ambient light whether it’s a tungsten interior or a daylight exterior. And the color temperature adjusts in 50 K increments so you can exactly match other lights in your setup.

The full-length barndoors shape the beam while they control light spill. You can use the barndoors to cut the beam to a very narrow strip to focus the light on a very specific area like your subject’s eyes, or to add interest and drama to your background.

Freedom to position the light in multiple orientations is one of the great advantages of the SSL-MINI-B. The included lollipop mount attaches the fixture to a light stand and gives you secure stability while it offers the flexibility to position the light in any orientation you need.

If you need only a subtle hint of an accent on your subject, the SSL-MINI-B has you covered. The output digitally adjusts in precise 1% increments all the way down to 0%., so you can dial in the exact brightness you need.

The SSL-MINI-B can be powered with two NP-F batteries (sold separately), which is a great convenience if you’re shooting outdoors or in a large room where there’s no nearby power outlet.

For indoor and studio shoots where outlets are readily available, you can run the SSL-MINI-B on AC power with an included AC power adapter.

The SSL-MINI-B emits a flicker-free beam that eliminates strobing, which is common when shooting slow-motion video under other LEDs or fluorescent lights.

Just like the other lights in Genaray’s SSL series, high TLCI and CRI at all color temperatures. Your exposures and videos will benefit from accurate color rendering right down to the subtlest skin tones and changes in hues due to changing lighting conditions. Your photos and videos will appear natural, with colors that pop and vibrant textures you can almost feel.

The SSL-MINI-B boasts fanless passive cooling, so there’s no noise for your microphones to pick up during a video shoot.

Operating the SSL-MINI-B couldn’t be simpler, and simple operation is a plus because it won’t interrupt your workflow. Adjust color temperature and brightness, and set the remote channel right on the onboard control panel. The LCD display shows your current settings at all times.

The SSL-MINI-B has an integrated receiver with four channels. Set the light on an isolated channel and receive brightness and color adjustments from the SSL-RC remote (sold separately).

Genaray’s SSL-RC remote transmitter (sold separately) allows you to control color temperature and brightness settings from up to 100 feet away. Wireless operation is a must if your shoot requires you to control a single SSL-series light remotely. And it’s a huge convenience when operating several SSL-series lights at once, because you won’t have to continually return to one light in order to adjust the settings of your other lights.
