Overview
Genaray has added the first strip light with full RGB capability to its popular line of SSL-Series lights. The SSL-36-RGB boasts dazzling RGB effects, pixel effects, and sheer power to the SSL family. It features a unique form factor that provides even illumination along its entire 36-inch length. It’s perfect for lighting head-and-shoulders portraits and tabletop photography in-studio, and it excels as a hair or accent light. This SSL-36-RGB boasts a temperature range of 2500 to 10,000 K in CCT mode, a color range of 0° to 360° in RGB mode, and a choice of 39 popular gels for the precise color rendition and saturation you need for your exposure. The light is packed with twenty customizable animated lighting effects that will add realism to any shoot. Sophisticated pixel effects augment the creative toolbox of any cinematographer and are also great for events and promotions. The RGB LED array has an integrated diffuser for a soft wraparound, single-shadow beam, and full-length barndoors, which can cut the beam to a very narrow strip and provide precise control over light and shadow on subjects or backgrounds. Passive cooling eliminates the need for a fan so there’s no noise that could disrupt live audio on a video shoot.

The SSL-36-RGB strip light provides even illumination along its entire 36-inch length. Its versatility makes it useful as a key light that’s perfect for portraits, background washes, or green screen applications.
Full RGB and CCT Functionality
The SSL-36-RGB boasts a color temperature range from 2500 to 10,000 K. You’ll be able to match ambient light whether it’s a tungsten interior, a sunset, or an overcast sky. A full 360° color wheel lets you set a color with the precise saturation needed for your exposure or video.
0% to 100% Dimming
The light’s output is digitally adjusted in precise 1% increments all the way down to 0%, so you can dial in the exact brightness you need.
Dimming Curves
The light offers four linear, S-curve, and logarithmic dimming curve options that provide fine intensity control at mid, low, or high brightness levels. Whether you’re manually adjusting brightness, or adjusting via a DMX controller, dimming curves ensure pinpoint control of your light’s intensity.
Integrated Barndoors
The full-length barndoors shape the beam while controlling light spill. You can use the barndoors to cut the beam to a very narrow strip, focusing the light on a very specific area.
Battery Powered
If the first thing you do when you arrive at a location is hunt for a nearby power outlet for your lights, then a V-mount battery powered light can be a life saver. The integrated V-mount battery plate is a great convenience if you’re shooting on location
AC Power
For indoor and studio shoots where outlets are readily available, you can run the SSL-36-RGB on AC power with the included AC power adapter.
Flicker-Free Light
The SSL-36-RGB emits a flicker-free beam that eliminates strobing, which is common when you shoot slow-motion video under other LEDs or fluorescent lights.
High TLCI and CRI
High TLCI and CRI at all color temperatures ensure accurate color rendering right down to the subtlest skin tones and changes in hues due to changing lighting conditions. Your exposures and videos will appear natural with colors that pop

Lollipop Mount
Having the freedom to position the light in multiple orientations is one of the great advantages of the SSL-36-RGB. The included lollipop mount attaches to a light stand and gives you secure stability while offering the flexibility to position the light in any orientation you need.
