Auray’s SM-RM20 is a classic suspension shock mount that is compatible with a wide variety of broadcast and condenser microphones with an M20 threaded stud. This sturdy, all-metal shock mount is an integral studio tool that effectively isolates a microphone. It prevents unwanted vibrations, which often are transmitted through a mic stand, from affecting the microphone’s performance. The SM-RM20 features heavy-duty elastic bands that suspend and isolate the microphone inside the basket. The threaded socket provides a secure locking connection between the shock mount and microphone and is particularly effective when suspending a microphone down from a boom arm. For optimum microphone placement, the angle of the shock mount is adjustable and can be locked into position with the locking knob.
