Overview
When you need some muscle in your camera setup, the triple-action RTH-1050 should be on your tripod. This ballhead features rugged aircraft-grade aluminum construction along with a rock-solid build and a load capacity of 55 pounds. Attach it to your tripod to provide the strength and functionality you need whether you’re shooting in the studio or in the field. The large, ergonomic locking knob features an integrated tension dial that regulates the minimum tension of the ballhead and eliminates the danger of losing control of your camera and lens, even when the locking knob is disengaged. A separate pan lock controls the panoramic base that boasts 360° marking so you can accurately set up, and repeat, panoramic shots. The Arca-compatible quick-release plate allows for fast and effortless camera swapping, and it’s outfitted with rubber pads to prevent twisting once it’s attached with the 1/4-20 D-ring mounting screw. And to make sure you’re always aligned with the horizon, a bubble level is integrated into the head.

Separate Tension Control

Arca-Type Compatible Quick Release
The Arca-compatible quick-release plate allows you to quickly mount your camera and lens to a compatible head. Attaching quick-release plate to all your cameras to make swapping cameras and lenses a breeze. The included plate is designed with security pins that prevent it from accidentally slipping off the mounting platform.
Panoramic Base
For the perfect panoramic shots, the 360° marks will help you precisely position the camera when you’re panning from one specific angle to another. When you’re done panning, the pan lock will hold the head steady to eliminate unwanted camera movement or shake.
Aircraft-Grade Aluminum
For exceptional strength and stability, the RTH-1050 head is constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum that can stand up to demanding use and travel and perform at the highest level.
Solid Brass-Reinforced Socket
The solid brass tripod mounting socket prevents thread corrosion, so you’ll always be assured of a tight and firm fit onto your tripod. The RTH-1050 is compatible with any tripod with an industry-standard 3/8-16 mounting screw.
