Overview
The Auray Quick Draw boom pole is an ultra lightweight solution for placing a microphone close to your subject while remaining out of the picture frame. The BP-1383C is made with sturdy and lightweight carbon fiber, which is ideal for studio and location productions and field recording. The boom pole collapses down to a tiny 15 inches and quickly telescopes to 8.3 feet—a range of seven feet. The quick draw design eliminates numerous twist locks that can interrupt the audio engineer’s workflow. This boom pole features eight lockless sections for rapid and easy length adjustment. In fact, you’re assured of flawless telescoping even in challenging conditions or environments. The industry-standard 3/8-inch top stud is perfect for mounting shotgun microphones but also gives you the option of mounting other accessories like a camera or LED light. Use the bottom 1/4ʺ-20 socket to mount the boom pole onto a tripod or light stand. With the pole’s extra height, you can mount a camera for overhead shots or over the top of a crowd for a unique perspective.
