Overview
The Auray WSW-VMICRO Windbuster is a dual-layer fur windscreen that’s custom tailored to fit Rode’s VideoMicro Shotgun Microphone with Rycote Lyre and Rode’s VideoMic Me-L. The Windbuster substantially reduces disruptive wind noise. Best for recording in light breezes (4–25 mph), you can experience up to 40 dB reduction in wind noise with only minimal high-frequency loss. The windbuster features a specially manufactured open-cell foam matrix surrounded by a high-quality simulated fur outer cover that creates a dead air space around the microphone for significant noise reduction without muffling the sound. The Windbuster also shields your microphone from dust, moisture, and UV damage. The Windbuster neatly fits over your Rode VideoMicro and has a drawstring closure for a snug and airtight fit.
Features
Fits the Rode VideoMicro Shotgun Mics
Don't let wind noise obscure what you're saying. This windbuster is custom tailored to fit the Rode VideoMicro shotgun microphone with a Rycote Lyre, and it's perfect for reducing wind noise for mobile journalism, run-and-gun productions, or vlogging. It also fits the Rode VideoMic Me-L iOS microphone and the VideoMic Me-C Android microphone.
Dual-Layer Wind Protection
The fur outer cover and open-cell foam matrix work together to reduce wind noise by up to 30–40 dB and allow you to capture audio with minimal high-frequency loss and without muffling the sound.
Significant Wind Noise Reduction
A light breeze (4–25 mph) may not feel like a lot of wind, but it’s enough to make your microphone pick up a lot of noise. The Windbuster significantly reduces wind noise by up to 40 dB, so your subject’s voice won’t be obscured.
Full Access to Controls
The Windbuster is designed to give you full access to the VideoMicro controls for full functionality of your microphone.
